Day 7: Normal to Chillas.
We left the security of Hunza and cycled south getting our first security detail. For the next few days, we basically had armed police following or leading us. Very hospitable of them but not really needed (I guess until too late!). Good riding and good to be dropping in altitude. We would have gone over Babusar but the mountain road was not open for another month so we had to push on through the so-called “dangerous area”.
Day 8: Chilas to Bisham. A long day of Bandits (we did not meet any) & Dams
Needing to push on we did a big day on rough roads, a short drive, a lot of roti power and cycling into the evening to get into Bisham.
Day 9: Bisham to Abbottabad. Chilled
A nice relaxed day with tired legs and a nice climb up and down a local hill.
